You can choose between a female and a male character. You can choose hair style and beard style (male only), body style, face, hair/beard colour and skin colour. In addition you can choose Main and extra colour, which will be applied to you avatar's body suit and armor.

- Change via Player Setup (Main Menu)
- You may take off your helmet via U (default button). It's not a good idea to take off your helmet under water or in an area without oxygen (namely space).

- Pre-Alpha 2.1.0 : New player models (male and female), customization introduced with choice of suit color (2 different color for the suit can be chosen from 16 different color.)
- Pre-Alpha 3.0.0 : Added male / female character without helmet (added face).
- Pre-Alpha 3.2.0 : Improved player models: backpack with integrated jetpack, helmet, boots, male face + hair, female hair, and updated shader.
- Pre-Alpha 3.7.0 : Full color picker(256bit) for skin, hair, and armor.
- Pre-Alpha 4.0.0 : Added Steam Authentication. The player can no longer chose their in-game name inside the player customization screen, it will always use their steam profile name.
