The Abandoned Factory is a point of interest on the planet Omicron. It is an extremely difficult POI to endure due to hoardes of enemies and Turrets. The recommended supplies to bring are at least the Pulse Rifle (T2) and loads of Projectile Rifle Round. The player should also bring a Rocket Launcher for the laser turrets that reside in the base.
Although the Abandoned Factory already contains Medicine up for grabs, it is a good idea to bring plenty of Bandages, link=Antidote Injection}} Antidote Injection, Large Medikit, and link=Antidote Pills}} Antidote Pills.
A recommended procedure to follow when persuing this POI is to use a Multi Tool to look at the ground, as there are many Trap Doors on the ground that can end up putting the player in a very dangerous spot. It can also be used to find the hidden NPC Spawners on the ceiling and floor. The majority of the spawners on the ceiling spawn Alien Scorpions.
Story[ | ]
The factory was a facility named 'Pelco' after taking severe evacuation protocols. It is unknown if the previous inhabitants were human, but it is best assumed they were since it focuses on someone by the name Dr. Alvin Mitchell, whos name is that of a human.
Notes[ | ]
While traversing the structure, players may encounter messages on the wall, playing the role of the previous workers on an LCD Screen during lockdown.

Third message (Storage room after Lab 01):
Dr. Mitchell, Please review security procedures with all lab personnel. Two lock- down incidents have occurred in the past month, and I have no desire to inform anyone's family that their son or daughter is dead due to simple negligence. These warnings are posted for the safety of EVERYONE in this facility. Security and containment protocols are to be followed AT ALL TIMES. Thank you for your cooperation. - Cpt. J. Hammond Chief Security Officer
Fourth message (room after the turret testing area):
Mitchell...! System's going haywire down here! Some kind of foreign contaminant in the AI matrices. Turret IFF keeps glitching out and targeting our technicians! What the hell did you do?!
Fifth message (before entering control room):

Seventh message (end of control room):
Hell is not a myth. It is the end of the end of the road we pave into the unknown, the debt we all must pay when we sacrifice ourselves on the altar of progress. Judgement, pronounced and delivered upon those with the hubris to push the thresh- hold of mankind's limits. I regret we have not travelled further. There is so much left undone. But my road has reached its end. -Dr. Alvin Mitchell, PhD
