The 
Open Fracture status effect (formerly known as Broken Leg) occurs - along with fall damage - when a player falls from a great height. The status effect lasts over an hour in real-time, making treatment of some kind (such as Bandages) highly recommended.
While the debuff persists, players suffer the following effects:
- Massively reduced jump height
- Slower walking and running speeds
- Consistent Stamina drain
All three of these effects hamper mobility and make it very difficult to travel on foot. If the debuff is not cured in time (??? seconds), the ailment progresses to 
Necrosis.

- Despite reducing jump height, jetpacks from armor suits function normally.
- Using a Motorbike or any other means of transport can help to negate many negative effects of the debuff. The effect is only truly punishing when attempting to travel on foot.
